Why did I become a Life Coach?
My own awakening happened when I found myself stuck at a crossroad with a desperate need to find alignment in my life. I had worked with UNHCR and the humanitarian sector for the better part of a decade and knew what true fulfillment felt like. I moved to a new country and started a new career, and started living as though I were waiting for a finish line rather than a future.
Here I was, a father, a partner, a son with an inner voice that that kept saying "One life. Live it, Michael..."
After dipping into my savings, I registered with Martha Beck, who is considered one of the world's leading Life Coaches, with this inner certainty that I'd find what I was looking for.
As I started to take more and more clients, I was feeding my soul again - because the happier one is, the more light we spread. The clearer I was about what I wanted, the more I took steps to make it happen. In the back of my mind, I kept thinking of the two clients I would have loved to coach and what qualities they would look for in a Life Coach. Enter Tony Robbins and Strategic Intervention coaching which taught me to apply practical methods for taking action in a deliberate way to get things done so that human needs are fulfilled and elevated. While completing my postgraduate degree in Mental Health Psychology, I found each module almost exactly tailored to how I could continue being of service; a Life Coach that is trustworthy, relevant, focused and practical.
And here I am today. I am not looking for the finish line anymore. I am ready and experienced enough to share the tools I learned from my diverse coaching schools with you. In addition to being able to handle a whole range of human experiences in coaching situations, I have a special emphasis on personal transitions and relationship coaching.
By the way, I did manage to end up coaching one of the two clients that led me to Tony Robbins!
